URGENT - Financial Support Needed
The government of Argentina currently contributes only a fraction of the operating costs of Sunrise. In order to be self-sustaining, Sunrise urgently needs funds to bridge the gap between government funding and actual costs of running the orphanage.
Every effort is made to pay bills in the order of greatest needs first including food, electricity, water, and gas. However, monthly, the orphanage runs in the red approximately $3000.
As much as the extended family of the Hogar loves the old Econoline Van and the old french made Trafic, these vehicles are on their last legs and are in dire need of replacing.
The Hogar currently has over 70 children in residence and transporting the kids is always an area of great need. We are looking for caring people to help purchase a new bus! Ideally the bus will seat over 30 kids, but a smaller minibus is also needed.
The foundation has identified a used school bus as being a good fit for the Orphanage. We have a commitment to purchase this bus within the next two months and need to fundraise of an additional $12,000 to make this dream happen. URGENT - Funds for High School Teacher
There is current funding in place for a high school teacher to work at the home four hours a day, five days a week as a tutor and guidance counselor. However, this funding will be running out within the next three months. The home is committed to the educational development of not only the younger students, but the continued education of the older students. Our great need is to find the funding to continue the employment of our teacher and to bring this teacher/counselor on board full-time.
In order to fund a full time teacher/tutor position, the home needs support for the $700 monthly salary and benefits.
